Social action
“No-one is too small to make a difference” – Greta Thunberg
You have the power to make a difference in the world, in all kinds of ways.
Big or small, loud or quiet, everything you do can create change to your life, and the lives of other people around you.
A Manifesto of Compassion
What is a manifesto?
A manifesto is a statement by a person or group of people, declaring their views, intentions or motives. It is a way of asking people to join together to take action and change something.
Why it’s important
Together we are stronger. When we all come together in a sharing of ideas, intentions and motives, we can make real change in the world.
Our manifesto
Over 3 days in October 2022, a group of amazing creative young people took over the Egg Theatre in Bath. They were joined by artists and guided through fun activities to think about how we can all make the world a kinder, more compassionate place and support each other through times of change.
There was painting, map-making, sculpture, writing, audio-creating, social action and more – all of which has generated our Manifesto of Compassion.
We are sharing this manifesto to inspire and support you to take action too, to change something in your world… and to do it with kindness and compassion.
Listen to our manifesto

Start where you are and keep going – one step, then the next.

You matter. Be you – You don’t have to be like anyone else.

Value yourself. It’s a difficult lesson to learn sometimes everyone’s got something to give.

What is perfect? Relying on yourself and trusting your gut.

You are not alone. If something happens or you’re feeling down remember you’re not the only one.

Every person is too worried about themselves to be worried about you.

Being curious – it lets you try new things.

You are stronger than you think. When we go through hard things be kind.

Anything is possible. Belief is important in yourself and other people.

Perspective is everything. Look at things from a different angle.

Be kind and help others.

Be constructive with your blues. Make something good from the bad.

You only fail when you stop trying.

Tomorrow is another day. You might feel better then.

Take your time. Success doesn’t come in an instant.

You are here. Stay grounded in the present.

Don’t overthink things too much. Just take it step by step. Everything will be fine.
Be a fly on the wall!
Step into our world and hear our conversations as we dream about what we want for a better Bath and Wider Bigger Britain! These ideas were shared with policy makers at The Egg Theatre Bath:

You don’t have to try and save the world on your own. Taking small positive actions to improve your home, school or local community can all make a big difference.
Youth Films
During our week at the Egg Theatre in Bath, we hosted a screening of films created by young people in the (fairly) local area. These films aimed to bring to light issue that are important to the young people involved. The screening was fantastic, and you can view some of the videos shown below:
