Get rid of your worries

Worries

We all have worries. Sometimes they feel like a little niggle you can’t quite put your finger on, and other times they can feel big and overwhelming.

Worries often get in the way of being here in the moment and noticing the good things around us.

Creativity is a great way to notice your worries, move through them and transform them into something new.

Worry treasure hunt

Sometimes it can be hard to put a feeling into words. Objects can help us describe a feeling that sometimes words can’t.

We held a worry treasure hunt to search for objects that represented what a worry feels like to us.

We found that worries can feel like…

Transform your worries

You will need:

  • A pen
  • Some papers
  • A pritt stick
  • Old fabric
  • Wool/threads
Tangled ball of worries

Part 1

Find a piece of paper or fabric.

Give yourself 5 minutes to write down/draw/make marks about anything you are worried about at this moment.

Part 2

Find a way to transform the worries you’ve written down.

You could rip them up, or shred them and transform them into a collage. Or if you wrote them on fabric you could wrap them up tightly and bind them into a cocoon… what other ways can you think of to get creative with your worries?
